Lehdistötiedotteet - iHealy makes return after 6 years out! Comes back with a thriller!

iHealy makes return after 6 years out! Comes back with a thriller!

Many years and seasons ago, 41 seasons to be exact iHealy, one of Britain's top managers was at his peak. Back in 2014/15, iHealy managed a circuit driver under the name Miguel Baines. Now back then Miguel didn't have as many series to enter so progressed through F4, F3, F2 then even tried his luck at the newly created IndyCar series. Over the seasons, he created a rivalry with Adamski and his driver Guy Wellington. Between them l, they battled it out for the top 2 spots in the UK rankings and shared the spoils in nearly every series they entered together.

Soon after this F1 was created and with that, iHealy and Adamski joined forces and threw a lot of money into buying their own F1 team. They also joined forces with some Portuguese rivals which inevitably created Windsor Alliance Racing (Now known as Tesla)

In late 2015, iHealy waved goodbye to his drivers and rivals as he chose a new path in rally driving. Something that MRC had not yet incorporated into their system as there was a lot to bring in before this.

6 years later and iHealy receives a message from long time rival Adamski stating that rally will be incorporated into MRC if I'm up for it… Challenge accepted.

So on the 12th day of season 41, a new Brit burst onto the scene. Raul Lee-Cross, aged 18 and hand picked by iHealy himself has chosen the rally career path knowing he will have the full knowledge passed down from his manager.

Raul enters into the rally rookie series starting the 2nd rally stage so already a stage behind everyone else. It is in sunny Spain on asphalt for all 4 days. With not much time to have a good setup, iHealy sends Raul out with no real idea what the Citroën C3 will be like out there.

Its a tough field and pressure got to Raul and his Citroën as he makes numerous mistakes in his first time out there. At the end of day 1, he is dead last, 27 seconds behind the leader. A lot to do if he is to get anything from this.

Day 2 and iHealy has tweaked the car a lot overnight and gives Raul the pep talk he gave his previous drivers those years back. Winning the first 2 stages and taking a 2nd in the third stage it has brought him up to 7th in the order but still has 17 seconds to make up to the leader Kaloyan Rakov.

With the car being so strong on day 2, only a few things needed changing for day 3 with similar conditions to last. Raul just had to replicate his previous drives. 1st stage was wobbly but stages 2 and 3 he takes 1st in them and a solid 4th stage brings him up to 3rd place in the standings! He's knocked 7 seconds off the lead leaving a 10 second gap to 1st place. Can it be done? Even if it can't, he's done something magical here so far.

Day 4 arrives and the stages are all dry. No tweaking needed and Raul feels confident in his Citroën now. "It's like a whole different car to what I had on day 1. My manager has done great things with this overnight and I hope I can get him the rewards he deserves".

With 2 finishes in 3rd and 2 finishes in 1st it was enough to take the top spot by 8 tenths of a second! What a finish this was and boosts great hope for the rest of the series. Raul missed out on the 1st event of the series so still has some catching up to do but he has put a big statement in to all the other rally rookies out there.

When asked what plans in the future are, iHealy commented, "I see Adamski has taken full advantage of the rally scene with his driver Wynn Hunter holding over 80 stage records already. In a side event we see Wynn take 1st by a huge margin to the rest of the field but in a few seasons we hope to be giving them the challenge they're waiting for. I think I've found something good with Raul and he will be up there a lot in the next few years".
