Playoffs Are Coming!

Playoffs Are Coming!

The much awaited playoffs and stages for NASC Gold will debut in season 35!

So, for season 35 we will have playoffs and stage racing in NASC Gold ONLY. If everything works alright, the plan is that Silver and Truck will get the playoffs and stages in season 36.

Here are the changes:

Less drivers: Reduced from 43 to 40

Points changes: The winner will now get 40 points, 35 points for second place, 34 for third, etc. Every place from then on is one point less until 36th, who gets 1 point. Rest of the field will also get 1 point.

Stage racing: As in real life, there will be points awarded during the race thanks to the stages. There will be 2 stages at every race (3 at Charlotte 600) and the top 10 drivers at those points in the race will get 10-9-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 points.
As I'm writing this, it's still not confirmed whether the points will be awarded with a caution following or not. I have asked Debik about it.

Playoffs: As in real life, winning will punch a ticket for the Playoffs! Also, bonus points for race wins (5 points each) and stage wins (1 point each) will be added to those who qualify for each phase except the final race.

-Round of 16: after the 26th race all race winners + whoever didn't win a race but finished inside the top 16 will qualify for the Playoffs and get their points up to 2000. Race winners and stage winners will also get the bonus points added.

-Round of 12: after the 29th race whoever wins a race in the Round of 16 or finishes inside the top 12 will advance to the Round of 12 and get their points up to 3000 with the bonus points added.

-Round of 8: after the 32nd race whoever wins a race in the Round of 12 or finishes inside the top 8 will advance to the Round of 8 and get their points up to 4000, with the bonus points added.

-Championship 4: after the penultimate race, whoever won a race in the Round of 8 or finished in the top 4 will get their points up to 5000. No bonus points are added, so the 4 contenders left start the race with 5000 points each and whoever finishes first of the 4 will be the champion!

So that's it. The only thing different from reality is that once playoff drivers are eliminated, their points will not be reset to 2000, instead the round of 8 guys will keep their 4000 and the round of 12 ones their 3000.

We hope you enjoy this change which brings NASC Gold closer to reality!
