As season 18 comes to an end, the renowned portuguese driver Rui B. Martins confirms the rumors about his career coming to an end by announcing his retirement. The former F1 WAR driver was looking pretty comfortable with the decision as he addressed the press in his former team conference room.
"It's the right time to put an end to my career. I had a great run and a lot of fun. I definitely made plenty of mistakes throughout my career, but learned from every single on of them and they led me to this moment in my life. Now I'll move on and dedicate myself to my personal projects."
The former top 10 Word Ranked Driver has a resume that will surely have him remind former driver times with pride. One time WTCS champion, vice-champion of Indy Junior USA Series, F2 World Series, F2 North America Series and F3 Portuguese Series. He was also the second portuguese driver to score in F1 Series and played a major part in the astronomical rise of Portugal in the Nations Cup. He also was 3 times Champion of the private Luso-Brasileiro Cup.
