Late race and post race showdown

The first leg race of this weeks F3 Croatian series race in Preluk ended in a flurry of activity and questions being asked around pit lane. As Denis Trputec was surrounded by fans and the press, celebrating his win on the day, a number of people heard yelling and scuffling farther down pit lane. Red faced, agitated and restrained by three members of his crew, Thomas Anderson was shuffled into his teams trailer and away from prying eyes.

Some nearby fans reported seeing Anderson try to force his way through Perez's crew to confront Andres himself. Once Anderson's green suited pit crew arrived there was numerous pushing and yelling matches before Anderson was dragged away.

Preluk first leg, was a 15 lap affair that had a caution flag come out on lap 7 after a collision between Goran Zegrec and Michal Kovanda at the start/finish line. The caution would last till lap 12 and all in attendance knew that there would only be a couple laps of pure racing when the green flag was shown, drivers would push their cars to the limit for that short time.

Unfortunately, before the drivers could complete a single circuit there was another collision that would dramatically change someone's afternoon. Thomas Anderson, the pole sitter for today's race and currently running in second place was coming up to the hairpin turn at the end of the back straight when Andres Perez made his move to the inside and clearly was going to win the position but didn't leave enough space for Anderson to slip behind him and was forced to collide. This caused moderate damage to Perez but slowed Anderson dramatically to completely lose pace to the pack and slip all the way back to 15th position.

Anderson ended up finishing 13th overall and was unavailable for comment. Anyone trying to request a interview with Perez were waved away by crew members.
