Comunicados de Prensa - Double Blow for Team Europe

Double Blow for Team Europe

This week has been a mixed affair for Team Europe, scoring another point in a season that has proved difficult for them to score was very welcome and helped them stay ahead of Williams in the ratings even if they are behind on the points table.

However with focus turning to season 13 the team have been dealt a double blow. After unexpectedly luring Di Rado back onto the F1 grid this season, his tremendous efforts and considerable qualifying performances have attracted the attentions of the top teams and he will leave the team at the end of the season. In another unfortunate turn of events the teams other driver Zemeckas, who has been with the team since the beginning has announced he will retire at the end of the season. We would like to take this opportunity to thank both drivers for their efforts this season, but to especially Zemeckas whose long service and ability to pull suprise results from nowhere deserve recognition. A driver who has outperformed his skills repeatedly has pulled out all the stops again this season.

Zemeckas, my friend, we salute you.

This however has left two vacant seats at the team, who have been seeking suitable replacements since the news landed on thedonz's desk. In another unexpected turn of events the team have convinced their good friend and S12 driver Jukna to return to the team and pilot the new car. This will be a welcome reunion after jukna spent the season racing for WAR.

The second seat remains unfilled although close negotiations have been had with many drivers the seat remains vacant.

Also unknown is who the teams next sponsor will be, but this negotiation is in the closing stages and expected to be announced in the next week.

Managers representing drivers with F1 ambitions are invited to contact thedonz if they are interested in filling the vacant seat.
