Rage Motorsports

I happened down the track after watching the Rage Motorsports coming out party down to the the Ray Harroun pit also at Austin this weekend. I managed to catch both John Stone owner of the team and Ray still on the pit wall discussing what I believe was strategy. Here was the conversation:
Q: What do you guys think of the announcement just made by Rage?
John: Well anything to promote yourself I guess. But then we don't have a bunch of drivers pooling setups to do well either.
Q: So do you think this is good or bad?
John: Well I don't know if its against the rules per se but hey this is also speculation. I only say that because I know what practice times were and we were near the top. So you draw your own conclusions for the Quals yourself.
Q: So you think they are sharing info with each other?
John: (Laughs) Wouldn't you? Yes I do. It gives them a big advantage now doesn't it. I'll state it because I know most of the other teams are thinking it. Look everyone is trying to get advantages. I have nothing against any of the three of them but with this (gestures) coming out party even if they disband I would still think they were.
Q: Ray you've been quiet?
Ray: I am not going to comment John can do that. I have to put my words and actions together on the track. Until I can take practice and have the results in the Quals I got nothing to say. As far as advantage if thats how its going to be what can I say. I'll let my running do the speaking. They are good drivers in their own right or they wouldn't be here. If the governing body looks the other way who am I to say.
Q: So where do you guys go from here looking at Rage?
John: Well I've owned other race teams in other leagues maybe if this is allowed I'll bring Pitbull Motorsports out of retirement. Its amazing that nobody else has done this or well lets see you would be allowed to recruit as soon as you got here. The only ones I know can do this are the F1 Folks but then what do I know. So I'll say it here until I hear otherwise. Anyone else want to team up let us know we'll form our own team.
Q: Ray?
Ray: I leave the team running to John. I race for him. I'll go out and do the best I can. As long as they race clean I have no issue. If we find out there is a competitive advantage then I'll have a problem but until then race clean we're good.
Q: John anything else?
John: Nope. We'll do the best we can. And as I said my earlier offer is open. If the governing body allows it we'll have to band together to stay competitive. Have fun boys we'll see you on the track.

With that I shook hands with them and they moved into the garage and I could see the team talking strategy. I'll see if I can get to other owners but for now this team is the only ones to have an open opinion about. I have approached others about it but they refused to say on the record any comments but the responses weren't printable. This is all from Austin for now but this situation bears watching. And also what does the governing body think of this?

We tried to call Rage camp representatives after the comments John Stone post-race, and luckily got in touch with Rage driver, Nick Wheeler. Jason Anderson was on the call: Anderson: Nick, twice in a week I've managed to get you by chance. How are...
