WRC3: Argentina

It was back to the sand and dust for WRS after a stint in Europe, and back to normality for the most part, as the first three days came and went without much drama. Wynn Hunter pulled out an early lead before being eclipsed by Vaculik, Ceļš continues to show phenomenal improvement for his age, now a staple in the Top 5, and disappointment for regular points runner Korhonen, as he tripped up on Day 2 to end his rally early. But for all the mundanity of the opening days, it was the final day that would present a grandstand finish!

Vaculik - after amassing a comfortable lead - was reigned in by Hunter as the pair differed on tyre strategy, leaving them separated by a meagre 10 seconds going into the final exhibition sprint stage. A stage that suited Vaculik's tyres! Alas, the road was typically short and sweet, and Wynn's lead was enough to hold on, eventually winning by the smallest margin in WRS3 history, and taking 25pts with just 6 seconds in the pocket! A very unexpected victory for the Midas Toyota Team!

Further down, and it was Zur claiming the final point in P10, a significant feat in itself, as he was a full 90 seconds or so adrift of the points at the half way stage after Day 2!

It's now just a short hop over the border to the west, and into Chile for Round 6 of the championship!
