Grosjean Returns to form amongst Shocking Results!
Romain Grosjean Jr. Showed a return to form by placing his Red Bull on the front of the grid, but that's only half the story. Grosjean only took pole by 0.009 Seconds over Championship leader Novikov who continued from where he left off whilst Berger took a strong third for Sempre Senna. Bezrukov showed the BMW pace that seemed to be astray in Australia whilst Maurer will be disappointed with 5th behind his Sempre teammate. Vanderpuije will start 6th for Audi whilst Rapido will be disappointed with 7th. Kalinin was 8th in the other BMW whilst Lamy beat his team-mate to 9th as they locked out the back row. You may of noticed two big names missing from that list. You're not wrong. Di Rado managed to get his McLaren comfortably into Q2 but a massive mistakes meant he qualified 20th! But De Montferrand, the man who arguably should have won in Australia crashed out in Q1 qualifying 21st in the first big shock so far this season. Else where both Williams got into Q2 which was an improvement whilst both Mercedes were stone dead last a whole second of 27th.
Tomorrow's Bahrain Grand Prix starts at 5pm and we'll see whether Grosjean can do what his team-mate failed to do by converting pole into a win, or will Novikov increase his championship lead.
Joshi's Tip: Keeping a close eye on De Montferrand and Di Rado as they will start well out of place for their cars abilities. Don't be surprised to see them score points tomorrow!
