Pressemitteilungen - If You're Gonna Play in Texas
If You're Gonna Play in Texas
That's the title of a great song by Alabama and for those that haven't heard it it goes like this:
"If you're gonna play in Texas, you got to have a fiddle in the band"
Now after reading TerryWilson's reaction, I've got a new version playing in my head:
"If you're gonna play in Texas, you got to have an AR15 in hand!"
Quite frankly, the reaction of Terry is upsetting. I get that in the US there's a thing called the 2nd Amendment that empowers theirs citizens to have the right to bear arms, but it's hard to ignore some of the mass casualty events that have occurred as a result of that law.
Now, I get that he may be upset, but the US also has a thing called the 1st Amendment and it promotes various rights including the right of free speech, the freedom of the press and the right to assemble.
I get that all rights are important and this is why this article particularly upsets me. This is a time when I really wish there was a dislike button.
I'd like to remind Terry that we're in an international setting and that the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights is probably a more appropriate measurement. The importance here is that the US 1st amendment rights are upheld in this document, but the 2nd amendment rights are non-existent.
