Pressemitteilungen - U18 International Challenge Cup Update

U18 International Challenge Cup Update

Here we are just two races from the finish of the first U18 International Challenge Cup and the series hasn't disappointed yet with five different winners in the first eight races.

The series has seen six drivers still mathematically still fighting for the championship with two races remaining with the front runners being Alec Black, three wins, four podiums & five top five finish to his name leads into the final two races but has been inconsistent with three average finish allowing Sam Leone to close the gap.

Leone sit second with two wins, four podiums & five top five finishes and has been coming on lately in the series after a slow start. The top two; Black & Leone are separated by only six points.

Sitting Third is Kaito Bouchard as he has been nothing but consistent with zero wins, zero podiums and six top five finishes but sits 34 points a drift and will most likely need to win out plus a bit of luck if he is going to claim the championship.

Other drivers still mathematically alive are Gustavo Muller, Petr Vyslouzil Jr. & Melinda Vankó.

It should be an interesting weekend as final two races are held with series ending in Brazil. The question remains who will be champion with so many still in contention?

Round Two of the U18 International Challenge Cup will go early in the next season but I haven't figured out the date yet or the tracks that we will be using. I am leaning towards mixing up the tracks but I can confirm that we are looking at a sprint race and then a Main Feature race in the next series. So keep an eye open for the next round and as always I am open to suggestion from the drivers & managers.
