F2 NA: Fresh New Additions
"It's fantastic to hear such eventful, tight racing described by the loquacious Semprini, especially when it is about the series we are joining for Season 10!"
Manager Adamski had plenty to say this morning as his camp arrived in Mexico in time for Race 1 of the F2 North America Series.
"I'll often go out of my way to read his PR's, there aren't many who capture the day in such detail, and its great to hear these guys fighting up the sharp end. Before we came to Mexico we had a brief stop at Mondello Park, Ireland, where we found ourselves lining up on the grid against Max Vanderpuije. We figured this was a great chance to run some reconnaissance on our upcoming championship contender. Given, the field was not fully populated and Striver lined up 3rd, 0.400 behind pole sitter Vanderpuije. Neither of us had a faultless race but I kept his pace, a mistake dropped him behind me and we were set for some paint exchange but surprisingly he was happy to sit on my rear wing half a second back and over ten laps he didn't attempt an overtake. It was Rays own costly error that handed the place back. But knowing we can hold our own against the man who finished 3rd in F2NA last year is very encouraging. We've had limited running against Semprini so I can't draw a comparison there. We are however joined by Swiss #1 Rocco Rapido, I am no stranger to this guy. We both finished in the Top 10 of Season 7 Rookie Series and since then have been in a myriad of races together, namely both winding up on the podium in McLarens at Private races, I've beaten him, he's beaten me, but this is the first time we've met in a high stakes series".
There is plenty to suggest that Season 10 in F2 North America could be one of the most hotly contested, closely fought title races in MRC history.
