Road to Formula 1 - Part 4 - The Finale
Only few hours after the end of the Australian Grand Prix the first disappointment and sadness is over at the HQ of LKR. Even though the team has missed the big opportunity to score the first points of the season in the very first race, the optimism is back in the minds of all members of the LKR Formula One Racing Team.
While Diesel had the chance to collect a lot of data with no chance to enter the top 10, Artmann was 7th only few laps before the end of the race. Unfortunately 4 opponents could pass Artmann, leaving him on the 11th position, the first position outside the points.
Diesel´s statement: "It is a bit disappointing, that it did not pay of in Australia, but it was a very good start for LKR. We have learned a lot about our car, the tires and the strategy of the other teams. Coming up is the trip to Asia where we hope to perform well on the first two races. In China we will get our first big update, which will help us to get in the mix of the teams fighting for points constantly. Looking forward to our home GP in Spielberg, Austria we are very confident to have competitive package that will allow us to aim for even more"
Asked about the distribution of power at the moment in the Formula One, Diesel replied: "OMR is far ahead of the others. It is going to be interesting to observe who will be able to close the gap. McLaren, RedBull and WAR are behind them. The rest is on the same level i guess, more or less. I can only say that we will have a thrilling season."
"The best shots on the drivers championship have the italians from OMR, but the Australian Gp also showed that nothing is for sure. Drivers like Grandi and Libor entered the podium with underperforming cars. Talent and strategy help a lot."
Asked about the future of LKR Diesel mentioned: "Everything important you can read in our fan chat or in the LKR topic in the forum. Join us and you will get all infos first. We are looking forward to welcome new fans to our community."
