Pressemeddelelser - F3 Mediterranean Series, 8th Weekend

F3 Mediterranean Series, 8th Weekend

The F3 Mediterranean Series continued this weekend in Mugello.

For driver Fabrício Cruz, the weekend started badly with a 17th place in qualifying.

"This didn't go too well, in both my runs I made a few mistakes so we're gonna have a lot of work to do in the race."

Due to the qualifying result, race 1 was expected to be a damage control session in order for Fabrício to fight hard in the 2nd race. That mission was accomplished by finishing in 10th place.

"I had to push hard on this one! I managed to overtake a few cars and also benefited from a few retirements so this was a very positive result. I'm looking forward for tomorrow!"

The 2nd race didn't go as planned however, a transmission problem meant Fabrício's retirement in the 2nd lap when he was 9th.

"I'm really disappointed, the weekend was getting better after the bad qualifying so we were really hoping for a good result, right on the first lap I was hearing some strange noises from the rear of the car and then it was all over, no drive! All we can do now is focus on the next race and try to improve the car."

This means the Mugello weekend ended up with a single point for Fabrício. This means he's now 16th in the championship with 35 points.
