Oleg Locke Motorsports First Ever Media Interaction
For the first time ever, Oleg Locke, owner of Oleg Locke Motorsports, addressed the liberal Minnesota media on the state of affairs at the team's facility. Here is that transcription. Enjoy.
Locke: Thank you to all and welcome to my modest 1 stall garage. First allow me to introduce our young talented driver from Greenfield, WI, Alan Kulwicki. Thank you. I will now answer your questions.
Liberal media: Why did you hire a 19 year old driver to drive in the NASC Gold Cup?
Locke: That's a great question. Initially we thought about putting him in the NASC Mexico series. Sort of wish we had a season in that series to be honest. But the upside is that Alan is getting great experience at these Cup tracks at a young age. And I'll take top 20's in the Cup series all day long.
Liberal media: Yes, Alan has shown improvement the last few races. Do you think the team is starting to find cohesion?
Locke: Certainly, plus we've been leaning a bit more conservative lately...
Liberal media: *GASP*
Locke: I mean setup-wise.
Liberal Media: Oh
Locke: The DNFs were beginning to stack up. We needed to make some adjustments to our weekly gameplan at the track. The recent results have been good. We'll see how it goes from here.
Liberal media: The season's first road course is next, at Sonoma. How will Alan handle these big cars on a narrow track like this?
Locke: Ahh wine country! My wife, Lenag, has had this race circled on the calendar. You know she loves her grapes in a glass. Anyway, Alan has plenty of F3 experience so he knows how to turn right as well as left. We just wrapped up practice and had what I would call one of our better pre-race practice sessions of the season. So we're looking forward to qualifying and the race.
Liberal media: So, like, great. Thank you and good luck.
Locke: Thank you and remember, Hooter's has the best buffalo wings in town. Visit them at Mall of America 4th floor. I'll see you up there. Thank you and Skol.
