Pressemeddelelser - Q/A: Wilsean Dahir brings in new colours, discusses potential title chances, next season destination

Q/A: Wilsean Dahir brings in new colours, discusses potential title chances, next season destination

This week at Zandvoort for the F3 Benelux Series, Wilsean Dahir will bring in a new sponsor, Radio RockMax, it's a Czech radio company that puts Rock Music, he will also have their helmet and livery, as Sarah Watson interviews the young Djiboutian-Brit who looks forward to the final 2 rounds of the season
Sarah Watson: So Wilsean, overall it's been a good season for you, you've been fighting for race wins, haven't got one yet, when will it come?
Wilsean Dahir: I'm always being patient about it, we were close a couple of times but it's never happened at the end.
SW: Not to mention your pole at Hockenheim, which is your first one since your Rookie Series debut, been a long time that...
WD: It was a good lap, something I would never forget, it was close and when I finished the lap, I had to take a deep breath and let it all out
SW: You were fast at Assen, but it's terrible nature of tightness making it a tough track to overtake on.
WD: I think qualifying was something to do with that, we started 5th, others made mistakes then Leo Brianson's engine blown up we took advantage from that then I had Raphael Val behind but I had no space to overtake so I had to settle for 2nd.
SW: Bad pitstop in the 2nd race?
WD: I WAS LEADING, IT WAS WORST THAN REDBULL (LOLs), it frustrated me, I tried to take it back but I pushed too hard and pushed it to the barriers.
SW: Last time out wasn't so good at Zolder
WD: We were off the pace all weekend, I wouldn't want to keep that in mind anymore...
SW: So it's realistically put you out of the title... you're down to 4th
WD: Unforunately it has...
SW: You're progessing as a driver every season, is it important to keep the momentum that you have?
WD: Well yes it is, you know what's good and bad for a racer yourself
SW: You don't even know where you'll end up next season
WD: Well, I'm thinking about going to F3 World or Europe series or stay at the Benelux Series again.
SW: You brought in a new sponsor for this weekend at Zandvoort, also making you bring in a new helmet, suit and a new livery of course
WD: Hopefully it'll make me a lucky man... (laughs) finger crossed that it'll be a good weekend, I've always been good at Zandvoort so no need to worry. Zandvoort to be honest, it's a real man's track so you have to really succeed there.
SW: Then it's Spa-Francorchamps
WD: My favourite track, it's all about bravery cause Eau Rouge/Raidillon, Pouhon and Blanchimont, one beautiful corner in each of all the 3 sectors.
SW: Alright then Wilsean, good luck!
WD: Cheers!

Wilsean Dahir may be out of the title charge but not out to still win a race this season, can he finally do it in the final 2 rounds at Zandvoort then at Spa-Francorchamps?
