Pressemeddelelser - Disappointing week!

Disappointing week!

Another disappointing week for Tobias R. Steegs and his manager Rene Steegs.
After a success in Germany, this weeks races in the Netherlands on the track in Assen, weren't that successful. The qualification and the sprint race went well, with a 9th and 7th finish, but all of a sudden in the feature race, Tobias had mechanical problems in the first lap, and therefore had to abandon the race.
We spoke to him in the pits:

Tobias:
As soon as the lights went on green, I knew something was wrong. I accelerated, and the car just didn't seem to have the power. I spoke to my manager, he told me to try to keep it running and make it to the pits, so the team could have a look at it. But after the second turn, it just died on me.

Me:
It must be devastating after you had such a success in Germany.

Tobias:
Yeah, after a 4th and 6th place finish last week, I felt confident. And another top 10 finish in the sprint race here in Assen, I was certain I would get the points needed to move up to 11th position. But it just wasn't my day.

Me:
What are you going to do in Belgium on the Zolder track this week?

Tobias:
I'm going to drive with a bit more risk. We're at the start of week 7 now with only 4 more weeks of racing to go. I'm going to give it my all now. It's my first season, I've got nothing to lose. It's all or nothing from now on.

Me:
Thank you for your time, and good luck in the upcoming weeks.
