Pressemeddelelser - Masterful Paskiewicz takes emotional victory at Chaika, Ukraine

Masterful Paskiewicz takes emotional victory at Chaika, Ukraine

Tomisław Paskiewicz has surprisingly - but deservedly - clinched victory at Chaika, Ukraine.

It was quite a shocker when Paskiewicz was called up in this season to represent Polish Team. No one expected it. Including himself. But he has delivered one of the best performance in his career today at Chaika. And yes, without reverse grid he wouldn't have won. But it does not matter. For him, it was very emotional win after last dreadful 12 months. At the podium he could not hold off his emotions and showed up with Ukrainian flague to dedicate this victory to Ukrainian nation for the support that he received throughout the whole weekend.

After celebration we caught him for a while where he shortly spoke to the media.

"Well, what can I say? You know, I did absolutely everything and pulled off all the best from my skills and car today. Of course, I realize, reverse grid was helpful for me but still... I've been in the hell in the last 12 months. Actually, I do not know why I'm still here but for this moment was definitely worth it. I would like to dedicate this victory to all Ukrainian and Polish fans who supported me for the whole weekend. My crew, mechanics who did - as always - amazing job, my engineers for perfect setup and great strategy. Komanch for trusting me and calling me up for these first races in Nations Cup. My family and best friends who've been all the time with me in this very difficult year. And last but not least, this victory goes to Ukrainian nation. That's all."

Paskiewicz did not answer for any questions from the journalists, we still don't know whether he is going to participate in the next races of Nations Cup or not. Overall, Paskiewicz seems to be in the very good form. He has won F2 title in the last season, he is also leader after first 2 rounds in the current season after sealing 2 victories in a row at Sakhir.

Channel 1 Russia has skipped information about Paskiewicz's victory. We could hear it might have been another diversion attack made by western leaders and their countries to code 1st place to Paskiewicz. We have tried to reach out to Frantisek Debnar and asked him about that but unsuccesfully.
