Official statement from Odissea Racing Team public relationship department.
We deny any responsibility in the employeegate scandal detoned in the last days after the scoop released by the French press agency.
Our human resources department was searching the job market for a professional figure that could match our needs and we picked out the spanish Project Manager Luis Soucek, that incidentally is a very good designer too, and we hired him immediately, since a person like him is very difficult to find.
Only after that we were informed that Soucek was a former AMG Mercedes employee that was fired due to some misunderstandings in human resources department of the South African team, and that Mercedes claimed him back asserting they had a contract with him.
After the verify that there were indeed any contract signed, we asked Soucek what was his opinion, and he said that he would only work for very professional teams, where such things do not happen, so we are very happy to confirm him as our Chief Designer.
This is the official version (and the real one) of the facts, we hope to put an end to this story and to let Soucek work on our car without distractions.
