Tesla Fan Championship - Season 8

The 8th edition of the “Tesla Fan Championship” has just ended.

Excellent performance by Mauricio Cruz with his first title! With 2 races to go, Mauricio already had a big advantage over Nádia Portocarrero. In terms of poles he also dominated the championship with 5 poles obtained!

Mauricio Cruz won the championship (3 wins and 9 podiums), Nádia Portocarrero finished 2nd (3 wins and 7 podiums) and Matvey Sobolev in 3rd (3 wins and 7 podiums). Behind was Vasco Guerra in 4th (1 victory and 7 podiums), in 5th was Manuel Vicente, in 6th place was Jamie Thom . Filipe Campolargo finished in 7th place, followed by Huguinho Silva in 8th place. Yoland Carrapatelo in 9th place and Daniel da Silva Dias closed the top 10.

Even though Mauricio won the championship, Nádia Portocarrero continues as the most successful driver at Tesla-FC, she leads with 3498 points, 28 wins, 64 podiums, 73 top 5, 76 top 10, 29 poles and 27 fastest laps.

In the under-23s, the title was not disputed at all because Yoland Carrapatelo completely dominated with 8 poles and 8 victories.

It is the 1st title for Yolanda. The sub-23 legend continues to be Tomas Gois Rocha with 3 titles. The 2nd place went to Noe Nogueira who ended up with 2 wins and 7 races on the podium. Ricardo Trincao V finished in 3rd place with 9 podiums. Close behind came Cupertino Jarbas with 1 podium. In 5th place came Alex Clark with 2 podiums. Just ahead of Kilanji Aeon. In 7th place was Bruno Costa II, in 8th place was Antonio Calhau II and William Hsieh, the best newcomer, closed the top 9.

In the record table, Felipe Campolargo continues with the most points scored (2730), the most wins (26), the most podiums (45), the most top 5 (56) and the most fastest laps (34). Tomas Gois Rocha is still the driver with the most top 10 (59) and most titles (3).

With Yolanda Carrapatelo, Noe Nogueira, Ricarco Trincao V all leaving the under-23s, who will emerge to succeed to Yolanda? In the main class, can Mauricio get the 2nd title or Nádia Portocarrero or even another driver will manage to surprise him?
