Comunicats de Premsa - Rebirth
Rebirth
It was great to the polish driver on the track but it was very clear from his body language and that of the Renault team that they had expected more from him during the test.
While he focused on parts development testing in the morning he had completed a few qualifying stint and was actually way off the pace of Hulk & Palmer. It came out that he was simple trying to hard and was over cooking some of the corners and missing the apex. It from observers at the track they also stated he seem intimidated by the extra grip levels and was leaving a ton of room on the exits of corners suggest that he wasn't pushing the car too the limit.
After a short lunch a meeting with engineers he focused on more race pace runs were he settled into a grove but again was noticed leaving room at end of the corners. When he did place the super softs on the car for a quick stint(not a qualifying stint) he was quick but in comparing the lap to Hulk & Palmer he was only a few tenth faster on a tire that was expected to be at least half a second quicker.
Overall the team was happy with the test but by no means did Kubica blow them away with his results. He wasn't any faster then Palmer, whom they expect him to be easily clear of and this might have closed the door on his return.
Palmer seems safe in his seat until at least the end of the season when he will mostly likely be replaced. By whom is now the question and Renault haven't ruled out Kubica.
The rebirth of Kubica
Robert Kubica was the real protagonist of the second day of test of Formula 1 in Hungary. Just as Vettel was flying with the Ferrari, the McLaren finish second or Helmut Mako met with Honda representatives in search of the power unit for next season,...
Kubica
Kubica on his future said that "after today, it is too early to say what could be the next step. For now, I must thank the whole Renault Sport team for having done this test."
