UK SRC Private Series Season 18 Review
I used to do the reviews for every race when we doing the single races, this season, MrLeg managed to bring the Brits not only the UK races but to the Euros as well, Adamski set the private series up, kudos guys!
But I, FPM8, will do the entire season reviews, starting with the UK Series.
UK Single Race Championship - GB Sprint:
Thank god there weren't any ovals but Jackson Storm, our UK Number 1, showed why he was the original Number 1, dominating the series by winning 5 races out of the 10 held. Chris Kemp finished as runner-up, however there was a point where he took a whooping 60 points at the opener in Thruxton, but then Storm's domination made it impossible to see a real fight for the championship, he won the champ by almost 150 points and almost hit the 500-point-mark as well, Mike Shoemaker trailed home behind for Bronze while Rubik Beardy, bit suprised not to see him be in the contention for the championship, instead he was stuck in the midfield as he struggled to get the setups right but at least he managed to take gold at Wales in Anglesey. During on course of the series, the two NOVA boys Jay Wellington and Paul Dover got into a little banterlicious arguement as they raced aggressively wheel to wheel for a while and had fun with other cars at Donington, Murdoch Bennett got into it as well but nonetheless, throughout the series, they were impressive Dover coming home ahead of Welly by 12 points, rounding out the top 10. Ricky Higham showed some promise as well, fighting for top positions in half of the races, while the other half didn't go to plan, he came home in 8th.
The veteran Jonny Herbert got schooled unforunately, he could only manage 12th, the other experienced one Derrick White could be on his last season, he finished in a dissappointing 19th. Meanwhile, the battle for 14th between Scargend, Lawley, Helm and the mental-less (at the time) Tom Davies was close. Wilsean Dahir was set to be one of them (Storm, Kemp, Shoemaker, etc...) who finished every race but crashed out with a half a race distance to go at Silverstone, he came home in 21st. We did see two new faces, ex-UK Number 1 Jonas Gudas packed his racing gloves to go on a new manager role for John Barber who did impressive with very minor Driving and Mental Skills, came home in 24th. The other new face was Mitchell Woodward, who replaces the young Steven Simpson, MrLeg wanted a more smarter driver but his defending was at a pyscho level, it really didn't help as he took a single point, in 28th. Pete Amon, was a waste of space unforunately, manager Matthew Lewis couldn't stop finding a perfect driver and he wasn't just one of them, he came home in last, scoring no points, you have to feel sorry for him.
UK Single Race Championship - EURO
Apparently, some UK drivers chickened out so we had to invite our Irish neighbours, the highly talented Leonard McCoy and Colin Davis' nephew, Conor who makes his debut. We were 26 for the Euros compared to UK's 30.
Apparently, there was no stopping Jackson Storm... even though inviting McCoy to penerate the other UK drivers was a mistake, still tried his best put out a fight to Jackson. There were highlights from Storm, from a beautiful pole lap at the most beautiful track at Spa-Francorchamps, taking Eau Rouge and Blanchimont flat out, from an OP 2nd sector to the finish line, and winning the first race in the mixed conditions, good one. He did take 7 wins compared to McCoys 6th, albeit the pair 2 retirements, McCoy took full house at Instabul, Vantaa and Imola, and scored points at every race but it wasn't enough to close the gap to Storm as they were seperated by a tally for a win, pole and fastest lap in a single race, thats about 54 points.
Marcus Ripley took Bronze, winning at Spa, Valencia and Colmux-Berg, just a little behind the two RAGErs Storm and McCoy, he did profit from Shoemaker's unlucky technical failures, Steve Burnard doing what he does best, finishing every race in the whole series and as well as managing to take 2 wins in safety car fested races, we all know what he does best anyways so no need to go further. Bennett managed to win at Monte Carlo due to Storm's slide at Tabac, but he couldn't make it a full house there when he crashed at the same corner. Bennett had some technical failures from other possibilites as well. Chris Kemp and Rubik Beardy couldn't win a race unfournately but Beardy's slump of form was shocking, again he was stuck at the midfield and never got out of it.
The two NOVA boys impressed again, and Dover still led Wellington. Highlight was when Dover climbed from 22nd to 6th in the wet at Spa but crashed out with 2 laps to go, but went against the odds to take a series-best 4th at Imola and Wellington was when he held off McCoy impressively for a long time at Dracon.
Tom Davies had fun causing collisions due to his lack of mental strength, costing him alot of good results but don't worry it'll be better next season, he came home in 14th. Derrick White still struggled and wasted a beautiful finish to his career, he could've finished 18th ahead of Tom James. Conor Davis shined at some moments, rounding out the top 20. Wilsean Dahir and Graham Brammer Jr. found the barrier a countless number of times, Wilsean Dahir came home in 22nd, taking a top 10 finish at Monaco in 8th and had an amazing race at Valencia while Graham Brammer Jr. finished in last with 17 points, Varg Vanguard who finished 25th, was 26 points ahead of Brammer Jr. Trevor Crisp, 2 points ahead had the most technical failures.

I didn't had the time to do it and research it, hopefully Season 19 will be bigger and better, we'll see some of the youngsters improve and the top guys rise to stardom even more, take care.

Thanks for doing the review. Must admit to being disappointed with overall results, never expected to be a contender but should have done better. Think the repeated mechanical failures can be attributed to trying out a new car (MYG/VOL) and not getti...
