McCoy keen to add some Irish passion to Team Rage.

"Dammit Dad, I'm a race driver, not a doctor", were the final words uttered by Leonard McCoy as he barged his way out of his dad's study in his initial pursuit of racing nirvana.

McCoy, not coy when it comes to racing, decided he no longer wanted to follow in his father's footsteps and become a senior hospital consultant. His heart was always set on being the fastest race driver in the known universe.

His first steps in this mission came when a chance meeting with well known Team Rage manager thedonz, gave him an unexpected opportunity to join up with Rage.

After several meetings between thedonz, Team Rage high-level management and McCoy's manager Emerald, a deal was struck for McCoy to become Team Rage's newest and first Irish addition.

"It wasn't a tough decision to be honest. As soon as the invitation came to join Team Rage I jumped at the chance.
It's not every day you get to join up with top class managers and drivers, to a team well known practically all around the galaxy.

"My dad got wind of me joining Team Rage, and he knew there was no way I was ever going to get into medicine once I joined Team Rage. He thought I'd fail badly at the start and then lose interest in racing. He actually gave it one last shot to try and tempt me back to medicine just before I crossed the t's and dotted the i's with Rage, I simply laughed at him and asked;
Are you out of your consultant mind?"

"He's a great man, and he means well. But he now realises my passion for racing is real. I think he has now admitted defeat, haha!"

McCoy has done quite well so far in his rookie season, picking up back to back wins early on, but the better skilled drivers are appearing in his races of late and he is holding his own.

Maybe one day McCoy can realise his dream of being the fastest driver in the known universe, until then his path is one of self discovery.
