Comunicats de Premsa - Who do we have?
Who do we have?
Who do we have participating? Let’s find out what Major series are made of.
Indy Series
Mentionable names are Grandi, de Saint-Germain Jr, Grosjean, Zoggeler, Bum. These probably will be atop when comes the season’s end.
Grandi 2x F2 World champion, in consecutive years, last season went on to have the best rating of all drivers at age of 23. Quite remarkable as it is at such age, shows no signs at slowing down either. He has yet to win Trophy of the Champions, this season trying new things and new heights as he has joined Indy series.
De Saint-Germain Jr last season’s undeniable Indy series champion, with falling short on championship by Grosjean season before. He has won Trophy of the Champions, as he was beat by Vergne year before.
Grosjean 3x Indy champion, got dethroned by SG Jr last season, more so finishing just 4th in standings. But he stays committed to series he has been the most dominant and is the most successful driver in Indy Series thus far.
Zoggeler 2x F2 NA champion, first season he took part in Indy series had a strong season and completed it with 3rd place, beat by only Grosjean and SG Jr. Last season can barely be called a success by finishing 7th. Stays committed and keeps fighting as he is getting older.
Bum 3x F2 Africa champion, finally has moved out of F2 Regional series, by staying in Africa for 5 seasons. His new challenge in Indy series is undeniable, but at age 23 he can make a hell of thunder as the season will go.
Romadov has not shied away from competition and signs for another season in Indy series, 4th time. Trying to score a first win.
Pinola has Indy Junior championship in hands, but he struggles to be consistent in Indy Series, but managed to score a win.
F2 World
Novikov won F2 World in season he drove before. After he has not got any higher than 3rd place, which he did do 3 times, he returns to F2 World where he has his only official Championship. He will try to win another championship.
Poucette does not go elsewhere stays put in F2 World series. He has won it once, but 3 times has come short by finishing 2nd. He has the most F2 World race wins at 23. After winning 10 races last season, we will see how he does in this, where more competitive drivers participate.
Piks in 4 has yet to win a race, but he has been consistent going 4th last 2 seasons. Do he have something in him this season as competition is tougher and finish on the podium and win a race? We have to wait for the new season to begin.
Mazzola a Indy Junior and F2 SA champion joins F2 World for the first time after finishing both of his seasons at Indy series at 6th position. Has won at least a race in a season. This season might not be easier than he thought.
Janeks after winning F2 Asia, has not been in shape and has gotten beat twice in F2 Africa by Bum. Maybe a change of scenery can propel his comeback to being a champion again.
Seno showing signs of speed sometimes, but has not been consistent enough to be champion yet. This will be his 5th season in F2 World.
NASC
First season as NASC starts. It has drawn a lot of drivers from their seats to change it to NASC car.
Vergne did not win Indy series championship, but has the most pole positions in Indy history. That is something to be proud of. He will try to gather a championship himself in NASC Gold Cup.
Pires tried Indy series, quickly switched back to F2, finishing 3rd last season in F2 World, decides to do NASC. He is capable winner.
Kinnunen after 3 straight championships in F2 Europe shows himself out of there and will try his luck here. Here will be a different competition.
Acarini 2x F2 NA champion is on the move and has his eyes set on the trophy.
Muzzio is undecisive, changing series, cars rather every season. He struggled in Indy, but finished 3rd in F2 World.
Zanardi is not winning a lot, but puts himself in position to finish and gather points.
De Peppis F2 Asia champion, Kubica Indy Junior champion, Dan Indy Junior champion, Ide Indy Junior champion before Kubica are the champions to try and get another by taking part in NASC.
At least 20 drivers are capable of winning a race, those who will fight it out for the championship, the list is shorter. Those who will adapt better, we will see at half way through the season, after 18 races.
Good luck, may the best win!
