Gentleman Behavior
After a furious start, Diesel was sooner back at the box with his mechanics than he expected. It could have been his night, since he lighted up the skies of Singapore early in the race.
Diesel quickly overtook many contenders, but just as he tried to pass Dermisek (Ferrari), his race was over. And it was not his fault.
In the media session after the race Diesel told the press: "Of course I am disappointed, because my first stint was really fast. We had a great strategy and I had the feeling that this could have been our first podium of the season. But that´s racing! The cars are super fast and the tracks are tight man. If someone makes the slightest mistake, than this might lead to an accident. But don´t worry, I am already over it. But I want to stress that the Dermisek came to me after his race and apologized for what happened on the track. That shows me, that he has a great character. That is real racing spirit and true gentlemen behavior. I really appreciated his words!"
